We Won’t Let Parents Meet Our Baby If They Continue to Put Pressure on Us

Daniel, expecting his first child with his wife, faces a tough family dilemma. After experiencing a traumatic miscarriage, his wife’s pregnancy has been high-risk, and the doctor advised minimizing stress during the final weeks. The couple planned for her sister, a labor nurse, to be present during the birth, but his parents have been pressuring them to allow immediate visits after delivery.

Despite explaining their reasons for limiting visitors to support his wife’s well-being, Daniel’s parents reacted negatively, accusing him of being selfish. After a heated argument, Daniel set firm boundaries, warning that any further pressure would delay their visit indefinitely. While his decision might feel harsh, it is driven by concern for his wife and baby’s health.

He wonders if his actions were too extreme, but his priority remains the health and peace of mind of his growing family.
