I Refused to Let My MIL Meet My Baby — She Plotted a Cruel Revenge

I gave birth 15 days ago and felt exhausted. My mom moved in to help, and I told my MIL, “We need privacy; I’ll let you know when you can meet your grandson.” Despite daily calls, I eventually said, “I’m not ready, even if it takes months.”

Today, I woke to my baby’s intense crying and discovered that my husband had invited nine of his family members over without telling me. When I confronted him, he dismissed my concerns, saying, “You’re overreacting. It’s not like you have to host them.” Feeling stressed and betrayed, I saw my MIL’s smug smile and left the house in my pajamas. Did I overreact? – Gretchen
