I Want My Pregnant DIL to Babysit My Daughter’s Kids for Free, Despite Her High-Risk Pregnancy

Sofia, 49, wrote to us seeking advice. She feels judged for asking her pregnant daughter-in-law, Chloe, who is living with her, to babysit her daughter Joanna’s three kids for free.

While Sofia believes this would help Chloe prepare for her own baby, Chloe reacted strongly, saying it was unfair and accusing Sofia of exploiting her. Chloe, pregnant and far from her husband, felt unsupported and called Mark, who sided with her. He planned for Chloe to rent her own place. Sofia apologized, but Chloe remained distant. Now, Sofia is torn and seeks advice on handling this family crisis.
