JUST IN: 7 Dead, 37 Injured After Bus Crashes on Mississippi Interstate!

Seven people, including a child, were killed, and dozens were injured in a bus crash on a Mississippi highway early Saturday, Aug. 31. The accident occurred on I-20 Westbound near the Bovina exit when a tire blowout caused a 2018 Volvo bus with 47 passengers to overturn.

Six victims died at the scene, and another passed away at the hospital. Among the deceased were an 8-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. Over 30 injured passengers were taken to Merit Health Emergency Room.

The Vicksburg Fire Department, along with AMR, responded to the crash. Fire Chief Derrick Stamps praised his team and local healthcare workers for their efforts, highlighting the community’s remarkable teamwork and dedication.
