For the purpose of exacting vengeance on her children for “never visiting,” a woman has decided to leave her inheritance of $2,800,000 to her dogs.

An elderly woman in China, Ms. Liu from Shanghai, decided to leave her inheritance to her pets instead of her children. Initially, her will allocated her assets to her three children, but when they failed to visit her during her illness, she changed it.

Her beloved cats and dogs, who stayed by her side, became the beneficiaries of her estate worth 20 million yuan (approximately 2.5 million dollars). Since Chinese law prohibits leaving an inheritance directly to animals, Ms. Liu appointed a local veterinary clinic to manage her estate and care for the pets. Authorities are now exploring legal alternatives for such cases.
